Supply Chain Director

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Develop and implement the supply chain strategy, which addresses the entire supply chain life cycle from proposal/capture through sustainment in support of the Business.
  • Manage S&OP Process
  • Manage 3PLs domestic
  • Improve forecast accuracy and customer services
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of supply chain managers responsible for developing end-to-end supply chain strategies, coordinating resources, overseeing and reporting status, resolving issues and generally ensuring appropriate SC support is provided as needed to individual program.
  • Enable end-to-end SC strategies across the portfolio and proactive supplier engagement strategies across the Corporation by partnering with peers in SC, Manufacturing, Engineering and the PMO to support make/buy, design for supply chain and technology roadmap initiatives.
  • Serve as Supply Chain Management Leader and “single point of contact” for the SC Leadership in tasks such as status of SC actions (i.e., subcontract negotiations, BOM pricing, etc), supplier relationship/issue resolution, long-range program/proposal/IRAD supply base planning and coordination of financial forecasting for material sales.
  • Assign a SC proposal lead responsible for identifying, coordinating and presenting to SC leadership the complete SC input (to include priced BOM, subcontract status, direct SC labor inputs, etc) for review and approval prior to final submission to the program and/or release of the proposal.
  • Drive Logistics cost reduction through effectively management of inbound and outbound
  • Deliver cost savings program annually.
  • Manage products portfolio and drive simplification process across Supply Chain
  • Ensure that Supply Chain input to proposals, programs, and other operations are compliant with regulatory requirements and conducted in accordance with best practices.
  • Keep apprised and provide regular status to business on all Supply Chain aspects of a portfolio of proposals, programs, or other functions, even those worked by Subcontract Leads and Managers, geographically dispersed and/or co-located with other entities.
  • Handle ad-hoc assigned by the line manager.

REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor’s degree: Manufacturing Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or similar field.
  • 10 plus years of Supply Chain experience and at least 5 years of experience in a strategic sourcing industry manufacturing plant.
  • Experience with an SAP system.
  • Multi-state operations management experience.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and leadership in LEAN principles and practices.
  • Knowledgeable in Material Resource Planning (MRP).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Recognize obstacles and implement solutions to drive positive results.
  • Keen supplier negotiations and relationship management skills - domestic and global suppliers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high-priority projects with keen attention to detail.
  • Must have a high degree of confidentiality and ethics.
  • MS Office Suite programs proficiency.
  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Advanced business acumen, communication, and change management skills.
  • Lean Six Sigma Belt (Black, Green, Yellow) preferred.
  • Willing to travel for work when required.
