Ben Tre Import and Export Joint Stock Company (Betrimex) is a shining example of progress in greening the coconut industry, thanks to its major investments in a circular production model.

In 2024, Betrimex made significant strides in aligning with global ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) standards, a key measure of corporate sustainability and ethical impact.

Environmentally, the company has tallied its carbon footprint at over 33,000 tons of CO₂ equivalent. However, its use of solar power slashes emissions by nearly 1,500 tons annually, complemented by high-efficiency water and waste recycling systems.

Betrimex also manages over 10,500 hectares of certified organic coconut farms, which form the backbone of its sustainable supply chain. This strategy not only strengthens its export competitiveness but also supports a sustainable ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders, from the farmer to the factory. Each organic hectare cuts CO₂ emissions by an average of 210kg per year, proving that environmental responsibility can drive both economic growth and community well-being.
