Ben Tre — now a part of Vinh Long province — is a key coconut sourcing region for Betrimex. Today, it faces severe impacts from climate change, including saltwater intrusion, prolonged droughts, and unpredictable weather cycles. These conditions not only threaten supply chain efficiency but also directly affect farm stability and the livelihoods of coconut farmers.
Rather than viewing climate change as a risk, Betrimex sees it as a catalyst for transformation — shifting toward a more resilient and sustainable agricultural model. This serves as the cornerstone of our development strategy, built upon three key pillars:
- Technology and R&D-Driven Innovation: Investing in research and deploying smart farming models to optimize resource use and adapt to changing soil and climate conditions.
- Partner Ecosystem Building: Elevating farmers as strategic partners through technical training, operational support, and guaranteed market access.
- Sustainable Supply Chain Optimization: Restructuring supply chains to be circular, transparent, low-carbon, and value-enhancing for the brand and stakeholders.
