As the new school year approaches, Betrimex and its partners have officially handed over the “School Renovation – Clean Water for Students” project, bringing joy and excitement to nearly 200 pupils of Cam Son Primary School in Huong My Commune, Vinh Long Province.
Understanding the challenges of a remote school, where facilities have deteriorated after years of use, the project was urgently implemented during the summer. More importantly, it ensures that students now have access to safe and clean water — a crucial foundation for their health and learning.
According to UNICEF, 7.7 million children in Vietnam still lack access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities at school. Behind this number lies the daily “toilet anxiety,” directly impacting students’ health, confidence, and concentration — especially for young girls.
To address this, the project focused on a comprehensive renovation: upgrading sanitary facilities with modern equipment, and installing a high-standard water filtration system to provide safe drinking water for both teachers and students.
This initiative once again reaffirms Betrimex’s commitment to improving the "Quality of life in local communities.” Investing in a safe and healthy school environment is one of the most sustainable investments we can make for the future of Vietnam’s younger generations.
